Crisscross decal with an exacto knife cutting into the decal but not the paint underneath.
Soak in acetone.
Scratch/rub gently with a wood dowel or plastic spacer brick: something semihard. Watch out for not going too deep into the paint.
The clearcoat on top gets removed as well so it is not seamless. (And I started/practised on the nondrive side which is not so nice :) A couple of nicks and scratches)
Finish with clearcoat (I havent done this step yet because I am lazy.)
