  • Yes. Don't do that sort of stuff yourself as a first go. A tile that's half a mm off square in any direction will ruin the rest of your life. Every morning you will look at it and regret not paying for a pro.

    The work in that pic is a proper, proper job. Except whoever fitted the shower screen has almost fucked the whole thing up by not quite lining it up with the grout.

    Even so, 9.9/10 would bang the tiler.

    I tiled a bathroom floor to ceiling with 100mm x 100mm tiles first go.

    The difference between my tiling, and that of a pro, is that mine probably took five times as long, probably has a little more attention to detail, and I'm not sure that a pro would have been on the phone to my father quite so much.

    Never again though.

    Either way, the tiling below the vanity unit doesn't line through with the rest of the tiling.

  • I agree with @Prole. - it's a visualisation. You can tell because it looks dead and flat, and the towel and stool are doing their best trompe l'oeil impression.
