Yeah that all makes sense. I have wondered what I'd do in the past when running in remote woodlands without any method of contact.

I'm guessing the next few years will see Garmin release running watches with:
- Basic phone functionality (the ability to call/text) so it can be used in an emergency maybe a PAYG SIM or swapping SIMs over
- mp3 player (to either bluetooth headphones or a normal headphone socket)
