I confess I have way too much sports equipment.
Examples include:-
- 5 bikes (only 3 of which have been ridden in the last 4 years)
- 15 pairs of sports related footwear (2 pairs for road running, 2 pairs trail running, 3 pairs generic "gym" trainers, 2 pairs astroturf boots, 1 pair rugby boots, 5 pairs cycling shoes)
- 9 footballs and one rugby ball, only 2 of those used in the last 2 years
- 5 HRMs with a 6th on order (one used in the last 2 years)
- 4 GPSes (all Garmin) with a 5th on order (2 used in the last 2 years) [some crossover with the above]
- 5 bikes (only 3 of which have been ridden in the last 4 years)

Please tell me that each pair of shoes corresponds to a specific bike with a different set of cleats that are totally non interchangabe...

Nope. All SPD (I don't bother with any other types of cleats):
- Spesh Pro MTB with carbon soles (for long distance rides of 200km+)
- Spesh Comp MTB shoes (commuting, especially on fixed as they have velcro and not laces)
- Old Shimano shoes with cloth uppers, first pair of cycling shoes I ever had (have a nice stiff sole too so they're my long distance backup shoes)
- Adidas Minrett (look more like trainers than cycling shoes, used for commuting mostly plus leisure rides)
- Northwave somethings (again they look more like trainers than cycling shoes, backup for commuting if others are soaked)
- Spesh Pro MTB with carbon soles (for long distance rides of 200km+)

For reasons unknown I really dislike people who say 'rock up' as in 'can I just rock up?'
Not sure why it annoys me but there seems to be a quite strong correlation between those who use rock up as a verb and those I don't particularly like.

The chain on my Mercian is held together by 2 split pins.
Seams to work.

#1. I feel like if you removed everything fun from cycling you'd be left with track cycling. This would not be such an issue if I didn't work in a velodrome.
#2. I drink too much beer. Like, to the point that it's probably the liquid that passes my lips the most often. Intoxication isn't really part of it, I just love beer, especially belgian beer. I know I should cut down how much of it I consume but its so delicious! -

I confess that I can relate to this.

I confess I took the car to work due to a bad cold with a sore throat (which didn't appreciate the cold air yesterday)
Still, I feel like a wuss ;)

I generally find pictures old bikes with quill stems boring and do not understand the adulation they receive on the porn thread.

I'm so tired of the 1x gear hype.

It's not really hype as it has been used for Mtbs for a few years now.

Went to the gym
It's right that you should feel ashamed ;-)
I confess ive been very sensible and looked at dawes tourers and upgrading my brompton for my impending hilly commute. But secretly I really fancy a fatbike to annoy my son and the sensible cycle commuters at work.
