  • I confess I have way too much sports equipment.

    Examples include:-

    • 5 bikes (only 3 of which have been ridden in the last 4 years)
    • 15 pairs of sports related footwear (2 pairs for road running, 2 pairs trail running, 3 pairs generic "gym" trainers, 2 pairs astroturf boots, 1 pair rugby boots, 5 pairs cycling shoes)
    • 9 footballs and one rugby ball, only 2 of those used in the last 2 years
    • 5 HRMs with a 6th on order (one used in the last 2 years)
    • 4 GPSes (all Garmin) with a 5th on order (2 used in the last 2 years) [some crossover with the above]
  • Please tell me that each pair of shoes corresponds to a specific bike with a different set of cleats that are totally non interchangabe...

  • Nope. All SPD (I don't bother with any other types of cleats):

    • Spesh Pro MTB with carbon soles (for long distance rides of 200km+)
    • Spesh Comp MTB shoes (commuting, especially on fixed as they have velcro and not laces)
    • Old Shimano shoes with cloth uppers, first pair of cycling shoes I ever had (have a nice stiff sole too so they're my long distance backup shoes)
    • Adidas Minrett (look more like trainers than cycling shoes, used for commuting mostly plus leisure rides)
    • Northwave somethings (again they look more like trainers than cycling shoes, backup for commuting if others are soaked)
