Just ordered a power2max FSA Gossamer yesterday with the black friday discount, with Praxis Works 52/36 chainrings (might finally use Doval rings) and rotor chainring bolts.

Ah great! Exactly how you suspected, I was mystified :)
How's your build coming along? I'm waiting for 63cm blue to come back into stock, just got my groupset ordered and now looking at chinese ebay clinchers!
Edit: oh and it's interesting to see how he's done the mudguards, looks like some pretty severe bending of SKS guard stays to fit 'em.
Looking at the official Kinesis pics, I think they used Portland Design Works guards that attach directly to the QR skewer. Not 100% sure though.
