I have a POC spring jacket, perhaps very similar? The POC jacket is not keeping me warm enough at the moment. Perhaps the clue being in the name.

Will the classic softshell keep me alive in rainy/wet weather +5*C to 0*C ? Or go hardshell

Would anybody have a code they'd be so kind as to share?

So I bought some pro team overshoes, I got the large for 43 sidi wire but they were huge, then I exchange for medium which was also big so I contacted rapha with a picture and they said I should go with small. Right now I was going to start the procedure to arrange an exchange but I go to my orders and next to the product I dont get the options to donot return/return/repair etc but just "exchange ACCEPTED". What am I supposed to do to arrange a pickup with DHL?
EDIT: Nevermind! Just noticed there was a new order under my orders with the exchange.

the soft shell would have been quite appealing if I hadn't stupidly deleted my discount code a few days ago. I guess my bank balance should be thankful I'm an idiot.

Softshell jacket not for rain. Hardshell might be to hot. Probably go for any other softshell layer and a rainjacket.

Thanks to Clem, BMX & 604.
Maybe tempted on the 'To The Sun' bundle, with a 20% code.

Confused by "Softshell not for rain" chatter. I commute in mine in the best rain mcr can chuck at me, it copes fine. Once or twice in the heaviest torrential stuff it started to breach but nowt too bad, bit of wet on arms.
Maybe on rides 1hr+ in a heavy rain it would be less effective, as once breached it'll leak more & more?

It looks like Archive sale is last season and Black Friday is this season's jacket.

has anyone got a pink gilet that they'd part with, either in a small or medium?
-
• #23566
From my experience it depends on the length of time you will be out. < 2 hours the softshell with the winter marino base layer; but for longer spins the hardshell is the boss :) Unless I'm gunning it, the hardshell is perfectly breathable (& even when gunning it it is always warm). For long wet cold Z2 winter miles the hardshell cannot be beaten. It really is a beautiful jacket.....

Good advice, thanks.

ptj or classic wind jacket?
-
• #23569
can't go wrong with either. PTJ keeps you toasty, but wind jacket would get year-round use

Very different items though, Wind Jacket is for layering in cool weather, PTJ is for cold weather and can be worn with just a base layer. You could argue that a gilet could easily do the job of the Wind Jacket and is more packable. It is down to individual tastes.

Just bought a PTJ for £80 second hand. That, the softshell for wet and cold and the Gabba for wet and warm and I think I'm sorted for the winter. He says...

Does anyone have a 15% code available please?

You could argue that a gilet could easily do the job of the Wind Jacket and is more packable.
You could also argue that a gilet + a long sleeve jersey do pretty much the job of the PTJ.

Some great deals to be had at the Rapha shop in Spitalfields.
Haha not really everything is still stupidly expensive.

The 15% off code from the survey email already expired last Sunday. I doubt anyone that's grandfathered a non-expiring code will hand it over to u...
