  • Are there any other dropper posts that are 27.2 that isnt a Thomson? I dont like the price tag.

  • You can get cheap mechanicals for sure. I have the TMARS 27.2 and @Dom has the RSP one. Both around the £50-60 mark.

  • Updated my Scandal to bit beefier one - lovin it!

  • This thread appears to be miss a picture of a Jericho Leadfoot, anybody remember them ? I guess they closed around 2004/5 time, I got mine around 2001. I have to get a picture of my cherry red one over the weekend.

  • Nice! I think @stedlocks should see this.

  • £275

  • 725 frame, hydro brakes!
crazy cheap! fuck might need to get one.

  • link please??

  • Click the picture.

@Dakin it's an incredible spec for the money, having to resist hard here!

  • nice touch with the option of 29 or 650b.
tryin to work out why its so cheap. theres got to be some catch to it surely

  • Doubt they sold many at £550, SSers tend to prefer niche brand (Verenti is a Wiggle brand). Probably need to clear some space, and cos they make them they've got the margins to come right down on price. You couldn't build up a better bike second hand.

  • Those Verentis are quite short, even for normal sized people.

  • Get low, get racey

  • I will let you know in a few days when mine arrives. Couldnt resist!

  • Oh shit yes yes!
I'm buildin a V brake SSMTB at the minute but if that thing is good may jus sell parts off from this and get that

  • Scandal has gone single speed for winter. Still creaks.

  • I'm tempted by the Wiggle SS but am wondering about sizing. The 650b may suit me better @ 5'11 given the oddball sizing?

    1st world problems

  • So I'm 5'11" and went for the Medium 29er, it comes with quite narrow bars and a very short stem which make it feel pretty short out of the box, but it's definitely the right size.

I've not been able to ride it properly yet, will report back once ive changed the bars and stem and smashed it round the woods a bit.

  • What's the best value carbon fork out there?

  • Hard to argue with the On One Monocoque forks, £100/150 for straight/tapered steerer respectively.

  • Peng

  • exotic carbon forks are highly recommended
