All good. Lenny from Rated People is coming round tomorrow to do it. He's also skimming all the walls to repair wallpaper damage, replacing skirting boards & re-boxing the pipes in the corner of the room.

Still expensive, but less expensive than stuff which is as nice but even more expensive...
We looked at a LOT of taps. I learnt that I hate nearly all taps, including all chrome taps. It is a mystery to me why chrome taps are so popular. We liked the brass Arne Jacobsen designed Vola HV1:
But they are about £600.
This is the Tapwell version (EVM 071):
£175 in chrome, about £260 in brass (which we went for).
We're getting a black tap in the kitchen and click clack wastes too, just to piss @diable off :)
(What is wrong with click clack wastes?)

We have click clacks in the bathroom basin.
I like it

Cheers for the info, they do look dead nice, any pics of your bathroom? I'm really torn what to do...

Flat.
Roof space not accessible without bringing down the ceiling as upstairs has laid laminate, and ceiling is nice condition victorian plaster, though its getting worse as there hasn't been an extractor in there for 2 years now. With 4 of us in the flat (2 of which fucking love showers, 2 or 3 times per day!) the bathroom is getting a right hammering. Had to put a towel rail/radiator thing in there to at least begin to combat it. -

For authentic hipster points isn't it a tin bath in front of the coal fire? Rickets optional..
-
• #5311
There is indeed. And don't you worry, it's bring factored in. I might actually pop a picture up of our disgusting bathroom for further collective thoughts...

Will do, got tall'ish ceilings, probably around 9-10'. Might end up having to mount it internally high (to collect moist air) then routed down to where there is some stonework under the window that can be drilled through. Above the window its just window surround and lintel, really don't want to go through that as high risk of damaging it and its not a conservation area so will get lynched.
Will find some internal/external photos. Loovent thing looks like it puts it out the waste/soil pipe? Would be a good idea but have one flat above so there will be stuff coming down the pipe too. -

I wouldn't say that. I hate toilets next to baths - who ever thought that was a good idea?! - so I'd have to change that.
I'd move the toilet to where the basin is now, probably knock out the wall between the cupboard and the bathroom and build a new stud wall with an integrated cistern. Move the bath round 90 degrees onto the other wall then have a basin and shower where the toilet is now.
Alternatively lose the cupboard completely, have the toilet at the far end and you could fit a basin in at that end too. Then bath and large walk in shower at the other end :)

We have a tiled shelf. It, through physics, gets some condensation. We have a cabinet which I mounted on the wall, get me. However, the usual stuff for washing sits in plastic boxes on the shelf. There is the hatred of these and also the hatred of condensation and excess moisture and fucking microrganisms.
So.
What storage options are there? -

It's not built yet! Well, about three quarters built. Will actually be a bathroom and separate WC.
Should be done by Christmas.

non gash looking swivel chair that wont burn a massive hole in my wallet .. too much to ask?

That all sounds good, I think I will get the job booked in with someone and then see what can be done once its all out as I fear...
Toilet can't be relocated due to waste pipe sizes.
The bath wont fit turned, the diagram is a bit generous, the toilet goes much further into the room that it suggests.Funny you mention moving that wall as I am quite tempted to, but to open that whole area up and create an additional virtual room.
Also, I quite like rolling off the toilet straight into the bath.
Sorry.

I look forward to seeing the results, I assume you will share on here?
I actually feel a bit of pressure to get my bathroom plans spot on, I had my kitchen done on a budget (I think I said £400 before but I might of been going senile, I think it was £800 all in and maybe a 100 or so more spent on a couple of tweaks recently) and it came out fine but this is a larger investment... and my pintrest board is formidable. -

Hate taps....hate is a strong word and leads to the dark (chrome) side

I have the Marcus http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20103101/
And have had it for the last 4 years of constant use and is still going strong, nice high back which is nice and supportive.

The Netatmo online thermostat is coming up on a black Friday online deal at 11.20 http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00GWKW8SY/ I got this last year for £80. A straight swap for my old thermostat. Not as configurable as some of the others but still good.
Depends on when I get my rad from mrcentralheating. The dagenham depot managed to damage 5 out of 6 rads.
