In case you're struggling to work out what's going on with that shitty quoting,
Crazy man builds E55 AMG with rear mounted Holset HX55 (because why not?) running 9psi and probably over 500bhp. Takes out Racelogic timing gear and records it doing 60-100mph in under 5 seconds and lists times of very fast cars that it's quicker than.

Something like that. PPC magazine had an article on a bloke who had a turbo hanging from the rear bumper of his 205GTi bolted on the end of the exhaust. He claimed there wasn't any turbo lag. Hhhmmmmm...

This car was apparently built to show that rear mounted turbos can work when done correctly. Figures seem healthy.

So, alternator's given up on the Bimmer. I've spoken to the garage and they've told me I could replace it with either a Bosch, or a Delco Remy, difference in price is about £75, both come with a year warranty. What should I do?

Fuck loads, but you get free electrical charging for the life of the vehicle.

Surely the cost is only of any relevance to the deposit you need to pay for the finance?

They're surprisingly common in Oslo, with winter tyres naturally.
I don't know if anyone else here has ever come across a guy called Stav from the now non-existent Fast Car magazine. The guy is a bit opinionated but he builds ridiculous cars. My friend with the 500bhp R32 Skyline GTR bought that car from Stav, and Stav is now selling his latest project:
