    "it is worth £xxx" - What does it really mean? Value is a personal idea/feeling unless we are talking about financial/market value - in which case something is worth what someone is prepared to pay at a given moment.

    Therefore, the only time I would consider this kind of criticism as constructive is if someone was to say "sorry but I can offer you £500 - take it or leave it", in which case the seller can legitimately decline and say "thanks but it is worth more than that to me", implying he would rather keep them and use them or simply have them hung on his wall rather than have £500 in the bank - in contrast to a reply along the lines of "it is worth £500 tops mate".

    If something's overpriced - it won't sell. If someone finds it a good deal - then it will. So I say leave the man to it!
