To chime in on the FPS talk, I heard what makes the biggest difference in the viewing pleasure, is the consistency of the frames in the second, if they're all evenly spaced then it looks great but obviously you get situations where the frames all get sent in the first 70% of the second and it looks terrible.
I think I read about this when looking up FreeSync/GSync tech for monitors, interesting stuff.
