Forgotten about that City side of 20 years ago. Alan Ball in charge, Uwe Rosler top scorer. Quinn, Kinkladze, Keith Curle, Kit Symons, Nicky Summerbee, Nigel Clough, Peter Beagrie!

@Manc_Ronnie : was that the season someone took it to the corner flag and faffed around?
totally Liverpool's fault. -

Is that really really real?
or is it one of those "Seth Johnson on 35k a week!" tales that is now accepted as FACT! -

Eau de Mersey:
Top note - delicate waft of rotting Cilla.
Middle note - a hint of title.
Bottom note - the smell of the mud that their talismanic captain slipped on. -

Watching Barcelona take apart Roma, 2-0 up in under twenty mins, and know its early in the season but the way they are playing and the form Suarez, Neymar in particular are in and messi back from injury, and arda turan and vidal plus whoever else they want to buy when the transfer ban ends, would you bet against them being the first team to retain the champions league?
They look glorious right now, helped out by the stupidly high line being played by roma's defenders. -

Predicting a barca bayern champions league final.
Too epic for words.. -

Suarez, the bitey cunt, cracking 3rd goal

Sergi Roberto has been playing really well and goes a little under the radar, becoming a pivotal part of that Barca team

has any other major european team on the end of as many champions league spankings as Roma have, at time of writing 6-0 down to barca, remember them getting thrashed by man united a few years back 7-1..
Wonder if this defeat and the repercussions will dent their title prospects in serie a? -

Corndog - unlike many on here, I take our successes and failure with equal grace.
That said, I'm enjoying the ride right now. It's not just this season, but the incredible run to avoid relegation. Add the last ten games of last season to what we've done so far this season and we're 6 points better than anyone else in the league. Which is pretty remarkable, although the number of pundits who had us down for bottom three was baffling.
The next few games will be really telling - both Manchesters, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton... But I think our football has been exciting, ambitious, attack minded and thoroughly good for the game. That Ranieri has managed to retain the spirit built up under Pearson, and get more consistency out of essentially the same squad, is impressive.
Vardy and Mahrez cost us a total of £1.45 million and have 20 goals between them in 13 games - Mahrez has created more chances than anyone else in the league and has an impressive number of assists. These are exciting times and long may they last.
Fewer.
