2012.
Now looking at DT swiss XMM 120mm. They are said to be slightly stiffer the a revelation (reading forums). Which is more than stiff enough for me.
The climb function that lowers and stiffens them could be cool.
Thinking of getting a matching shock and running them both off one remote. Aa I'm running a 1x drive chain, the remote won't clutter my bars.

Don't know about the DT remote but the RS ones only need one muddy/gritty ride to be borked. Tech climbs benefit from rear suspension for increased traction so not being able to run seperately might be a pain. If it's a good design you should be able to run fully open all the time without too much bob until you really give it some beans. Don't think I've touched the lever on my Turner in 3 years.
120mm 26" 32mm forks are not flexy esp if 15mm.
An extra 10mm is likely to make little difference to descending but might make for painful climbing.
What year Meta? Pre 2010s had a reputation for cracking I seem to remember.
