Managed to get the best gun for ghoul, named Kneecapper made it so much easier to shoot off the knees so it'll stop charging at me.

This is the best tip, if you ever get a higher levelled Ghoul, aim with VAT to the knees so you can kill it while it crawl on the floor.

Found the kneecapper, dropped off a high level mirelurk randomly in the wasteland for me

Awesome! I modified it enough to give a more precise hit and more powerful that it only take one shot to bring a normal ghoul down.

It's the most economical guns in term of ammo spend/used.

There is an amusing school where all the ghouls are pink, that's all I'm gonna said .
