I hear that 105 is probably better to go for than veloce but the brakes and some of the components on the caad aren't as high spec'd.
Guy in the store said there isn't much to compare between a bianchi and a cannondale frame but I've always been told that you want a cannondale, plus they have a lifetime warranty. Not sure about bianchi frames.

Not sure if there is maybe something better out there aswell.

Whichever you like the look of. You want to love what you're riding. What's your budget, frame size and intended use?

Well it would be about 1000 but may take advantage of the sales of last years bikes. 56cm to 58cm as I'm 6ft and a few mm, and for long distance cycles as I have my fixed for darting about town.

I find my 5800 group feeling far more decent than the Veloce group I owned. Imho I would go for the Cannondale.

If you won't be carrying lots of stuff and want something fast, the Cannondale SuperSix Evo 105 (2015, 5800), is £999 on sale at a few places. Westbrook Cycles for instance. I ride a 58 and am 6ft3. A 56 would suit you better.

If you want to attach pannier bags and a rack then there lots of other options.

Second-hand CAAD10 bikes on eBay are all great value. Or maybe a Croix de Fer if you want to carry more.

Considered the canyon endurace? I was in your position recently with a similar price point and bought the endurace. You get full 105 rather than cheap brakes and crankset. The brakes and crankset on the new 105 groups are really good. I haven't been disappointed at all

I believe that with delivery, a brand new arione, 2 x brand new bottle cages, a new garmin out front mount and a replacement stem I ended up paying a shade over a grand.

The other thing I strongly considered at that price point was the ribble r872, but a friend advised that high end aluminium was better than cheap carbon. The endurace is really lovely to ride. Pretty supple over crap road surfaces, but it's still stiff enough to be very fast.

High end aluminum is in a few cases lighter than carbon. And cant you find a cheap CAAD 10 as they're so passé now?

If you are interested in performance but your budget is limited I'd check decathlon. Great bikes for the money
