Any LBS should be able to sell you one for a couple of £? If you're nice they'll even cut it down for you for free if it's too long

This is my Olmo... still a work in progress... trying to source a panto record chainset (got my hands on panto DT shifters and brake levers), just fitted some super record brakes too. Got some GP4s on record hubs ready to roll too. Yellow bar tape OBVS

Fresh. Got any pics of the DT shifters? Looking forward to seeing it built up.

@Thrasher Sorry if the image is a bit dark, it's currently on the upper tier of the rack! They're pretty damn shiny though. Fittings were NOS.
It's taken a year to get it where it is, sourcing the panto parts (at a non-ridiculous cost) is proving hard. Got a super record gear set ready to go too and an original late 70s Olmo NOS clip-on water bottle

No problem @Thrasher ! Giving me reason to procrastinate away from my studies haha
It's more "slide one" I got it NOS but it has some wear to the graphics (nothing too bad though). The bottle slides onto these two little fellas that screw into the bottle cage bosses on the DT. Not totally practical I won't lie...

Not yet! But watch this space. I have a few builds going on right now so will be setting one up shortly covering all of these :) (as I've been saying I'll do for about 6 months now)

Does anyone know anywhere I could view old Olmo catalogues? Preferably the 1989/50th anniversary one but any others featuring the Sintex also good. Bulgier.net doesn't have anything of interest :(

I use this:
http://bulgier.net/pics/bike/catalogs/
FInd it quite a good resource. Retrobike have nothing for Olmo -

Thanks; I've had a look at the ones on there however I'm specifically looking for one with a Sintex in it so I can get an idea where it fit into the range offered etc.

Sintex were higher end models, usually made from Columbus SLX tubing.

sorry man, I didn't notice on your comment you'd already said about bulgier.net

Cheers: one of mine (both 60cm frame) is SPX and the other is either SL or SP; sticker doesn't say but its blue rather than red. Feels lighter than the SPX one however so leaning towards SL. Catalogues on Bulgier.net state they move from SL to SP for 'frames larger than 60cm' although don't know if this includes the 60cm models also... would be nice if it was SL as at 11 stone don't really think I need the stronger tubes! Anyone know how to tell the difference?

Think I will nitromors my Olmo frame, prime and paint it myself. Does anyone have experience doing that? Any tips.

Hi Olmo enthusiasts,
I have an Olmo Competition for sale in the classifieds thread.
Best regards,

Purchased stem on here for bargain price from @rajahstan (cheers). Was in pretty bad shape so spent a bit of time on it and turned out pretty nice. Just need to find some new bolts for it now. Had to take off the 3t logo completely as it had a large gouge in it.
Still want the Olmo/Cinelli one in a decent length though.
