I'll be very interested to see a picture of a large. I'm in NY in Jan if they have something in my size when I'm in Brooklyn then I'll consider that divine intervention and I'll buy one. I'm likely to be right in between a medium and a large.

15mm can make a significant difference to the handling, not to mention the rake on the CX fork are bigger than the BMW.
This will result in the BMW feelings a lots more nimble to steer, moreso than road bike even due to even steeper seat angle and large rake.
Might work with a Kinesis fork as they're 405mm long.
BTW double check with BMW; the fork on the V3 is 405mm, same as the V1.

depending who your builder is (on the scale from mielec to someone who actually cares how the bike will ride and tells you) I'd say more important than giving exact millimiters for every tube and wondering how it will ride is that you just post him/her fotos of brooklyn gangstas and ask them to build one according to your body & riding preferences.
I mean, whats the point of trying to guess how a v2 gangsta with differend a2c rides if you are building a custom???

Woundup will build you a custom fork if you ask nicely.

probably easier to spec the frame to fit a standard cx wound up if the frame is a custom and not built up yet
I kind of doubt 1cm a2c will make a visual difference with the wp fork.

So my new Talbot is based around my v1. I know that ppl have had different experiences with the fit/ride of gangstas but it fitted me pretty much perfect from day one. So much so I decided to have my geo based around it.
Main thing we had to take into account was the longer HT due to the high axle-crown of the v1. Also raised the stack by 2cm.
Otherwise just shortened the TT by 1cm to allow for a 100mm stem.
Shortened the wheelbase slightly.
Rides bloody beautiful now. Just feels like a lighter and more responsive v1 now :) -

Would love to have a go on that new thing of yours. It upsets my aesthetic sensibilities a little but then simultaneously looks great to ride

Haha I get that it's slightly odd but in the end it's the best fitting and riding bike I've ever heard so can't complain ;) You're more than welcome any time, just say

^ medium V1. Any time if it helps..

• #3563
Too small, sounds rad tho

It is slightly odd but realistically, it's not much more odd looking than a Gangsta itself, ha. Great bike either way!

Haha, true that. Cheers though! When I have a custom roadie built it'll probably have the same geo, just can't fault it.

Pics of that bike?

I didn't expect it to look like that, in my mind it looked alike a bmw haha -

Hey Tom, what hoods are you using on the Talbot?
-
• #3570
Look like cane Creek to me.
-
• #3571
Found em, Creek "Ergo Stoker".
Nice one Scott!

Yup those are the ones. Bit squarish feel on them compared to SRAM but seriously can't fault them.

still cheaper to buy any singlespeed brake levers and remove the levers, unless you're a tart

unless you're a tart
You know the answer to this already.

Awesome, I'm running SRAM 500's on the winter hack but I think I'll definitely be putting a pair of Ergo's on the Seta and maybe the Brooklyn at some point.
Is a bit high for me, but i'm sure it's not so bad a -17 stem won't solve it
