My vintage Omega has broken where can I get it fixed in London at a reasonable cost?

Little yellow shop on Clerkenwell Rd, few down from Foxtons

Nice watch.
If you need a contact for someone to do the work them I know of a few people who would do it, one of whom I use regularly that recently serviced my Lemania chronographs.

I spoke with Alsal - I probably sounded a bit harsh earlier but that was more to do with just being a bit in the dark - they explained about the state of the internals/lack of available parts and why it was unrepairable, so I appreciate their communication there - top marks.
I think the watch is probably just too old and knackered and whoever owned it before really did a number on it.
Also, I noticed they sell pretty much the whole range of the Junghans Max Bills... Might have to pick one up one of these days if I can ever afford one.

Lovely. A little expensive, though, for a Miyota 9015.

Ohh, that's nice. Red, but nice.

This guy does a lot of work on Seikos. Didn't look through his list to see if he's worked on your model before:

Yeah, I've seen his site - some great work. It would cost 10x the value of the watch to do what he does though! Also, I think he's just an enthusiast, from what I can tell.

Some people aren't too pricey. My usual watchmaker charges around £60 for a typical mechanical, and £120 for a chronograph. That enthusiast's work looks top-notch.

Anyone got any views on this?
Thinking about taking a punt as a present. The seller seems to have good reviews for some more expensive watches.

That dial is a bit ropey. I can see signs of dirt on the movement. 30T2(sc) is a great movement.
If it were me, I'd look for something with the intention to get it serviced.

Also, one movement retaining screw is missing.

Cheers.
I'm not looking for a mint dial, nothing too fucked but from the pics that's got the right balance for me.
I'm expecting to get it serviced.
I've only done a bit of looking around really, but given that it's an omega, with a 30t2 Cal (but not a WWII one), is the price fair?
Also something I haven't been able to find an answer on is does movement material effect price? Ie this one seems to be gold, where as a lot of them tend to be steel.

The gilt version tends to be later than the silver version. Doesn't make much difference really.
I still think it seems like a reasonable price, but you could wait for something in better condition if you waited. I'm going to PM you another which I was watching recently.
The cyclops? Someone's glued it on there.
