15mm can make a significant difference to the handling, not to mention the rake on the CX fork are bigger than the BMW.
This will result in the BMW feelings a lots more nimble to steer, moreso than road bike even due to even steeper seat angle and large rake.
Might work with a Kinesis fork as they're 405mm long.
BTW double check with BMW; the fork on the V3 is 405mm, same as the V1.
I'd be using a cross fork, likely a wound up, would 15mm be a significant difference?
The V3 I saw was at a bike store and apparently ordered by the owner before they even started selling them publicly. There was also a medium in the window and the difference was slight, but noticeable. My phone is broken but I'll take a picture tomorrow, I might even ask them if I can measure it.
