Didn't want to be the only person fighting thus corner so thank you.
I was going to post the graph of the freq response from the original minirigs but can't find a high enough res copy.
That original thread that Davey made on speakerplans speaks for itself and goes to show that the product was made from a sound techs point of view and that sound quality ranked higher than volume.
Have a read and if somehow you're in doubt and in London then id be more than happy to demo my lot.

The minirig is designed a bit differently from a lot of portable speakers, the driver is a bit bigger and it actually gives reasonable bass (not the boomy bose version).
