Do you tend to leave the light mount on the bike or is it one where you can just stretch it round? If so, you could put it on the stay when it's rolled up or the post when it's in use.

Got mine the other day, but not fitted it yet cos I'm pretty happy with my AssSaver!
Mainly ordered it as he's the same guy that made our wedding rings.... nice guy..... -

That seems the most sensible option especially as you've got a wishbone seat stay.

I've really started to hate these birdtail type guards.

^ Yep. The only one that works is the rear Crudcatcher, but it's really ugly.
The Full Windsor one isn't terrible, mind.

Yeah.... but it's a birdtail design for a reason innit?

Ever since I saw this I thought it must be totally useless. If not totally, then mostly useless anyway, it'll still spray all the water on whoever's behind and it doesn't protect the brakes at all. Considering that, the Design Museum award was just bizarre.
It'd be much better if I'm wrong.

I was just looking at these this week and you'd have to have your seatpost ridiculously high in order to have most rear lights attached at the same time.
Did anyone else receive their Plume mudguards yesterday?
Kickstarter, designer hype, lots of writeups in silly non-bike related places before they even got off the ground.... I know, I know... It's cheesy. But I reckon they've hit upon something.
I've just installed it now, but cannot really report on efficiency until we get a rainy day.
First and slightly negative observation; the shape of the rubber thing that attaches to the seatpost forces you to install the plume so that the coil covers your seatpost. For pople like me with little seatpost showing it means I struggle to fit the bracket for my rear light on there as well. Would have been much better if I could flip it upside down with the coil below the seatpost. But if I do, the mudguard hits the wheel when fully extended.
