By reach do you mean how close the lever is to the bars when in the drop position? If so you can adjust with some rubber wedges, not sure if I have them any more. Will check my spares box. But if not they are 99p each from SJS

Based on my experienced of 5700 and 5600, it feels like there is a little more reach on the newer model, but it's hard to tell without actually measuring.
Even if the 6700 has a little more reach than your current setup, you could always position them a little higher that what yours are currently set as and then rotate the bars accordingly to give a nice flat top and (what should be) a shorter reach.
