Late commute after school drop off for me. Traffic along the A3 to Stockwell was shocking. Not my normal route - is it often like that?

It's not helped by the fact that it currently changes every week.

Had to go to my office Disaster Recovery Centre for an exercise this morning. DR centre is located in Leatherhead, so thought I'd make a proper ride of it, and do the climb up to Ranmore Common, and Box Hill 'on the way'.
I can confirm that Ranmore and Box, on 75GI fixed (42x15 with 27" wheels), with a 15kg bike (including saddlebag) are both possible, but that my legs, back, and arms are aching now!
Very weird to be the only bike on Box Hill in daylight hours.

When will E&C be sorted out? It's a fucking nightmare.
It will take a few decades to try and get over the rubbish traffic scheme that they're currently installing, or never if they succeed in their plan to build a massive tower block in the centre.

Got a reply to my remark about a stupidly placed fence, hopefully they'll move it. Gray on gray and in the middle of a shared path with a bollard next to it as well.

Waterloo was a vortex of bad luck this morning. Got shat on by a pidgeon and then a front pncture immediately after. Weird. Also, unpleasant.

On my way home a scooter overtook me and continued to stay in front of me for 90% of my commute. He towed me at a delightful 25-30km/h pace through the dreadful headwind.
Thanks mate!8/10 would breathe fumes again.

Tavistock cycle path of horrors had a "cyclists dismount" sign on it on Monday. Oh the chaos that caused.

This enormous pillock made my commute more stressful than it needed to be. Crashed into the back of me at speed because he's an idiot who can't ride a bike. He was riding like a muppet, pretending to be a bike messenger, taking loads of risks, but I passed him at a gently pace because he was all sound and no fury. Then the muppet crashed into me. Is he on here?

Going out for a meal tonight, so I signed up for Belfast Bikes. All well, grab the bike (using my debit card as I just signed up), bike in great nick, please to cycle.
Arrive at the dock 1.5 down the road, dock the bike and realize I left my card in.
Phone Belfast Bikes, no, not found but they'll look.
Phone the bank, no they can't block it for a few hours, it has to be permablocked.
5 mins later Belfast Bikes phoned they found it.Belfast bikes 10/10
Would forget card again and deal with bank 5/10Ah well.

My commute lasted 5 mins this morning. I managed to get half a tree stuck in my rear wheel. It tore the derailuer from my bike, snapped a few spokes and almost threw me to the floor.
Going to be fairly costly I expect. Oh I wish I still had a fixed gear bike :(
Very cold today in Belfast, but winter gloves work well. So sun and fresh, no complaints 7/10 ;)
Unfortunately also many unlit kerb cyclists today and an unlit road cyclist. It's quite a problem in Belfast, it's improving a bit, but still a good 20-30% of cyclists have no lights. I guess some think it's OK cos they're on the kerb/a lit road, but not really.
