Knobhead parents screaming shit like: "play the percentages, Josh!", "The channels! Hit the channels!", "Tuck in, charles!!!" all at under 10s, on full sized pitches, with full size footballs. Our F.A. charging the most expensive rates for badges, shit weather, Smeg oven/fridge/freezers i.e. building luxury flats on pitches doesn't help.
There's too much pressure on winning and not having fun. Futsal skills used to develop on the street but with no ball games signs everywhere we seem to be coaching clones with no real invention. Thus the biggest kids that can kick it the hardest get pushed on, aren't encouraged to develop [see Micah Richards]. The lack of basic technique the other night was embarrassing. Stirling@£50M?!

  • Seriously, U10's on full size pitches?

In the Netherlands the kids play 7 a side until they turn 11 but a lot of clubs like to apply for dispensation so that they can slow down a bit further.

Don't think it's ever been any different either.

FWIW I think it could be a good thing that the Dutch didn't qualify for the Euros, hopefully they start from fresh and get a new team together that can do something a bit more positive in the next WC providing it's not going to get boycotted.
