I'm struggling with your definition of "isolation" to say the least
if you live in cann hall you can get off the tube at leyton, get the 58 bus from outside the tube and itll drop you off, about 8 minutes later if its clear, a 3 minute walk from houses close to the high road.
or you can walk if you presumably have legs.
I guess it depends on whether you want to pay 50k more for a house in Walthamstow which Is 20pc smaller than you'd get in Leytonstone..
I find there's no issue with Leytonstone if you're happy cycling everywhere, and agree that the places are generally big and good value. Just a bit of an issue that you have to take countless buses or whatever to get anywhere useful. Or if you have friends or family who want to come and visit as they'll soon stop coming when they realise how isolated it is. They'll soon stop when it's taken them and age to get to you. I also wouldn't really like the mrs walking 15 mins or so from the nearest train station or whatever. Might as well live out in suburbia if you want good value and not fussed about good transport links...
