  • All true, but if @TM is playing music off his phone, none of that matters.

His question was worded a little bit strangely. I assumed by "audio out so if I wanted to use my wifi with Bluetooth as well I could use the speaker as a receiver" he meant that he wanted to be able to play music over a WiFi network.

  • Sorry, I swear I wrote phone.

Basically a Bluetooth speaker that will also plug into my amp via a line out so I can stream music from my phone, through my Hifi, using the Bluetooth speaker to facilitate that.

  • Cool. No I don't know of anything like that.

Perhaps post this in the HiFi thread, but I'm a little bit confused. As far as I can tell you want to do two things:

    1. Play music off your phone on a Bluetooth speaker (easily achieved)
    2. Use said Bluetooth speaker to then route the sound into another hifi, presumably with its own speakers.

Have I understood this correctly? Does the hifi have its own speakers? Why do you want the sound to go to your hifi from your phone? Is it in a separate room to the Bluetooth speaker?

  • I'd get a decent speaker and a separate Bluetooth receiver to plug into your HiFi. You can get decent ones for £20-25 or so.
