I struggled to get a mudguard to fit the forks on my synapse so after a bit of thought and fiddling came up with this Frankenstein guard made from a rear XL raceblade sans arms (replaced for free by SKS after I bent an arm by accident), two arms from a traditional mudguard set I found on eBay, some axiom runners, a calliper bracket off some old raceblade longs and some bolts.
The arms were too long so I trimmed them down with a hacksaw and then bonded them into the arm bracket thing on the raceblade. They were pretty loose but after a chat to the chap in the hardware shop he recommended the gorilla glue stuff which expands and as well as bonds metal to plastic.
So far so good, all feels solid and rattle free. Should be good to ride tomorrow once the glue has cured. Hoping it works!
