Turns out a worn Thomson 27.2 is slim enough, lucky discovery. Been working on this over the past week, almost done just need to service the bb and find a noodle/guide thingy for the rear derailleur chain stay guide.
Free/parts bin build, for commuting and locking up, hoping it's not going to attract attention. Had to use a front wheel from the stash as the one that was on the bike had a cracked flange, shame to use such a nice clean track wheel but c'est la vie. Also got some Shimano DT shifters on another frame which I'll move over when I can figure how to remove them. I think it's going to be a nice ride.
It's strange, it's been neglected and the parts were mostly corroded, it's not been looked after, but the chrome work is all pretty mint.
Yorkshire quality!

^^^ looks great
I'm building silly/functional wheels with almost 50mm wide trial rims, XT dynamo hub at the front. Front NDS is kinda narrow with the staggered spoke holes, but truing was very straightforward.

Think this is actually for a 27.2 post, it had a 27.0 in and loads of rust when I got it, after a bit of a clean up and some grease the 27.2 fits fine. Serviced the bb today, think it could do with a new one tbh as races a bit pitted. Will see how I get on. Pleasant/neutral ride, should be good for the commutez

Been really enjoying this setup on the Straggler lately.
The Soma Cazadero "All Road" tyres are awesome and 1x11 seems perfect for me.
Need to think about the cockpit next... Would quite like to try the Gevenalle shifters.
Edit: Would also like to experiment with tubeless. I think it's possible with the Pacenti CL25 rim and Cazadero tyre combo I've got going on.

I agree, and I've been looking. never had any 7710's and I'm tempted by them too.. but I'd like scruffy condition and 165mm.
The frame is awesome... really wants to fly, but comfy enough to put 100km in and not really feel it.

Very nice!

7710s would be sweet!
My 'hues are both very comfortable and yet feel responsive. That Donohue Magic.

so let me get it straight... Graham Weigh builds frames, but these were built by Paul?

As far as I'm aware yeah. Paul built for Graham Weigh in their peak before they started rebranding Chinese Alu.
Also a couple of other British brands sold hues.
There's a post somewhere in the donohue thread I think.
Has anyone got a long cheapish but not shit 27.0 seatpost going spare?
