I really like that. Campag too.

• #253
There is a Ti job with sweet paint fadez but that logo/font is bogging
-
• #254
As well as Campag they have probably first production Sram Etap bikes. With a shit logo.

• #255
That's the least ugly boardman so far. Bravo.
-
• #256
hideous
-
• #257
Wasn't respraying Boardmans the big thing once or did I dream that?
-
• #258
Why anyone would spend £6500 on a boardman is beyond me http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest-news/boardmans-2016-bikes-feature-sram-red-etap-199634

Because they're really good bikes?
These are really good:
-
• #260
they may be good but they are an eyesore
-
• #261
Any idea what armrests/pads they are? Look very comfy
-
• #262
I've taken a brand new frame straight to be painted before building it for the first time - if it's good enough to warrant buying in the first place it's not a huge burden to get it sprayed.

Boardman own brand

I miss the Boardman cock'n'balls :(

Where have the carbon forks gone off the new Genesis Croix de fer?
Seems they've gone back to uni crown steel, apart from the top end ti model.
Do like the look of the Vagabond, in a sort of vimto purple. -
• #267
I've heard the carbon fork is an aftermarket upgrade.
-
• #268
Yup, it is. Just strikes me as odd that most bikes are going the carbon fork way, and a lot of peoples major upgrade is a carbon fork, and last (this) years model came with one. Seems like a step backwards. But this is Genesis, so who knows?

Where have the carbon forks gone off the new Genesis Croix de fer?
To make them more affordable.
Plus this look almost OG and better with the newer Tiagra groupset;
-
• #270
Holy hell the new Boardman font is bad. It ruins the whole bike by itself.
-
• #271
They're only 75 quid cheaper. Not a vast saving.
-
• #272
Is that a low-rider attachment on the fork, too? Makes it more useful for touring I'd imagine.
-
• #273
The older Croix de Fer had those too (except first generation I think).
I feel Genesis finally beaten Surly for the touring bikes, the Tour de Fer is now an amazing value for money (especially full Tubus rack and dynamos).
-
• #274
It is a vast saving when it allow them to put better components on, like the HY/RD-C brakes.
Great thing about the new Tiagra derailleur; it can go up to 34t, so a 1-1 ratio is doable with a compact.

Been contemplating the new frameset for a 650b build.
Not sure about the yellow without having seen it in the flesh.
My LBS have a stonking deal on last years model which would give me spare cash for a new wheelset, but the slightly longer chain stay on the new model is an attraction. I do get heel strike with my panniers on my day one.

New Boardman graphics are terrible
