I wish to create a tool wall. Should I use peg board or just ply wood and little nails?

Pros/cons?

The cost of hooks for peg boards turned me away from that option.
Make sure you outline the tool placement on the board, though your memory may be better than mine.

Totally agree with this but also always put the buggers back. I speak from experience as I can't see the top of my bench but the tool wall is nice and clear.
