Did it myself with velcro I got from eBay for less than a fiver and regular superglue and its been holding up well. I expect it to work even better with shoe glue. If you have those red plastics bits in the middle of the velcro strap (my Dominators had those) use a scalpel to remove that area.
Also in terms of backpacks I´d go for
Chrome Barrage
Chrome Bravo (bit more understated)
Restrap Unite (I like how you can attach different "modules depending on your needs)
Mission Workshop have a similar concept with their Fieldpacks I have one of those, if you want any more feedback let me know
Also the Baasi one @kamilw pointed out looks good too, never heard of the brand before. Seems to be smaller than my suggestions above so depends on how much you are going to carry
I have a chrome pawn, which just has velcro closure and no strap and buckle. Recommend staying away from these kinds of designs. Velcro loses its stick over time and it opens too easily
