Awesome rider! His eccentricity is refreshing which sets himself apart from other mundane characters (Cav, Froome et al).
There's a lad on this here forum from the same village @fedeaeclub - trufax

A great joker and exciting to watch (providing the best LOL of last year's TdF):
http://gfycat.com/EcstaticGreedyGalapagosmockingbirdBut in the past has not been above groping women on the podium which let's face it is pretty shitty:

The arse pinching is really bad, obviously, but you've got to understand that he was very young at the time and having accolades and plaudits hurled at him from every direction. At his age back then, I was doing all sorts of dumb things - ok so I wasn't ever groping unsuspecting women, but there we go. I think he's probably learned a lot from his stupidity.

A couple of weeks after the Tour of Flanders bum pinching incident, he set things straight on 2 accounts; brought Maja Leye flowers before the Fleche Brabanconne race... and won it as well.
The amount of work he had to do for this victory is amazing. As has become usual for him rapidly after his entrance in the pro peloton, he had to do everything by himself. -

Well, he was 23, and he's now 25. That's plenty old enough to be held responsible anyway you look at it. I would really hesitate to make any excuses for that shit, and fame is a particularly bad excuse.
I am not saying he should be forever known as Sagan the Sexual Assaulter - this isn't Reddit after all - as people can do wrong, learn and then not ever replicate that behaviour (and they can also apologise and mean it - see @peter_v post above). But here we some Internet to talk about Peter Sagan and I thought it was worth mentioning.

^he apologised directly, personally and publicly as well, right after the podium foolishness at the Tour of Flanders

He also has been surrounded by the pro-cycling scene since he was a kid, brought up in a bubble effectively, where as a pro sportsman you presumably have rather more access to people throwing themselves at you. And in a sport where sexual objectification is STILL the norm on the podiums too. Look, I'm not saying we should instantly forgive such behaviour, but for the reasons I've outlined it's understandable... and understandable does not equate to being ok, but he does seem to have learned from it, and has apologised. He had his period of people being angry at him, and now we can all move on. Yes/no?

I blame mountain biking personally

Don't think it's that binary myself, but hey, forgive / maybe forget etc.

He is the world champ that the cycling world wants (honey), he is the champ we want.
The Slovakian 2015/'16 World Champ, one of the best things to happen to cycling in a long while?
