Congrats man!
Harrow Rd is a bit of a rat run, I used to use that when commuting from Romford, and still do when I cycle to my parents' house, but other than seems like a nice area.

Sit on the floor
Eat with your fingers
Off disposable plates
If I can't be built with a hammer it's too complicated and not worth the effort.I learnt that last bit on my apprenticeship at the railway.

I've a crappy sofa bed you can have, and other stuff that would otherwise go to a charity shop / freecycle.

But let's not pretend that you're ever going to actually unpack...

Yup and Cann hall road isn't the nicest but I've seen 4-5 places on and around the road sell and a couple more are having work done to them, so I'm hopeful. It's near a better gym which is useful for me.
Transport links are a bit meh but overall pretty pleased. -

@mands @ChainBreaker we've been storing stuff over the past year getting ready for this but tools etc we do not have so will have to invest in.
Hoping my family who are in the trade can help me with a new bathroom and kitchen

Cann Hall is getting better, there's fancy stuff opening there now. And it's so close to the Olympic Park and not too far from Leytonstone High Road and TFC.
I cycle down Matcham Road twice a day, and we nearly put an offer on a place there but it went before I could view it.

Antic have taken over the Rookwood by the flats, South Leytonstone will be like Camden in 5 years.

• #11638
I think you mean 'Forest Gate Village Borders'.
Is that the big pub at the end of Cann Hall near the railway bridge?
-
• #11639
Harrow Road. Yeah. Dirty great pub:
Give it a year you won't be able to chuck a brick without hitting a social media coordinator.

Stamp duty sucked for us.
Big outlays at the beginning look set to be:
Paying bills at old place.
Paint/plastering etc.
We're foolishly fitting a woodburner which is going to fuck us but it'll be nice for our first Christmas in the new gaff together.
And yes, add a good grocery bill on top of that because fuck moving with half empty sachets of yeast and crusty jars of palm sugar. -

Moving house has absolutely destroyed us financially.
Curtains, doormats, shelves, all the things you come to take for granted in most rented homes.
Obviously a real ivory tower check your privilege first world problem, but still. Can't afford another bike till my old one sells, cue the violins.
