BOO! (Did we scare you? Ok. What if we said “Pat McQuaid is behind you!”?)

^What a guy. Looks like he's just been filming an adaptation of War and Peace.

Did Giant rip up Kittel's contract?
-
• #5111
He has been appearing at Etixx-Quick step "unofficial" presentations and various trainings for the last couple of months, so yes. :)
-
• #5112
That's normal, the season ends in October but contracts run January to December so you often see riders in their 'current' team kit at training camps with their new team, i.e. Cavendish training in South Africa with MTN-Qhubeka/Dimension Data whilst wearing Ettix-Quick Step kit.
Kittel's case is unusual as he's not wearing Giant-Alpecin kit, nor is he riding a Giant.
-
• #5113
He is a sprinter and for ego massage he is wearing his own kit? That is his (and Degenkolb and Martins) management company name on the bibs.

The Chris Froome test results are in as well as the 2007 numbers; surprise being his 2007 watts and FTP were even higher than they are now. Over to you Ross Tucker.

Where is the coverage of the track world cup being shown? Bbc? UCI YouTube?
-
• #5120
Starts at 4am.
Whyyyyyyyy? I was looking forward to watching some racing this weekend.

So much bullshit. Mainly from Vayer.
But I don't buy the whole 'I don't know my numbers, I just ride my ikle bicycle' line either.

Yeah - that's completely weird. I can't believe they can publish that with a straight face.
They paint Vayer in a great light, don't they?

He's cones across like a right bastard.
But it's a crazy piece of journalism.
525w max? 6.2w/kg is 78%? I can't believe the lab guys said this. Must be the reporter.
-
• #5124
525 watts was his 5 minute average, I believe.

"He admits to Esquire that he has no qualifications in the scientific field; he is a physical education teacher, schooling 12-to-16-year-olds in his native Brittany. “I am not a scientist, but I know about Chris because I am inside the peloton,” he says. “I have worked with enough riders to know the [natural] limits.”
There are no words for this.
