Crap 'Buzzwords'

I've only heard it cited as a crap buzzword but my old boss (who does 2 weeks in Austin, 2 weeks in London on rotation) says he hears it a lot.

It means from the first course to the end of a meal. I guess Americans eat nuts after a meal for some reason.

This just came round in an email regarding our future office move:

“We will create a sustainable working environment that engages people
and supports effective outcomes”.

I expect it to be like "an office".

The bookclub at work has infiltrated our manager's meetings. Everyone (but me) is reading Winners by Alistair Campbell and now 'OST' is part of our vocabulary... (Objectives, Strategies, Tactics). One person even had colour coded post-it notes sticking out of their copy... Maybe I'm the crazy one.

client where I work had an all day meeting, wasn't in it but took a quick peek at one of the notepads left on the table at the end of the day..." we can talk the talk but can we walk the walk??" circled on an otherwise empty page. maybe old buzzwords come back into fashion after a long enough period?

We say it all the time where I work. At the helicopter factory.

I've not quite landed on that idea yet.

"Run it up the flagpole..." is pretty standard.

"I need people who are in the boat rowing with me" - from my boss.

I also had a manager who constantly referred to "throwing his tits out of the pram..".
