RP really is nice
I occasionally miss it; then instantly get reminded by the fact that 'country' lanes are 6.5 miles away for me ..
Did you do anti or clock? Headwind is a neutraliser in terms of time since its a circle essentially and especially if you are fixed. Funnily enough I have got some of my best times around when I did intervals in the park and relaxed in between. What counts is a sprint up sawyers, then sprint up after the first left till parking, sprint up dark hill and TT between Kingston and Roehampton gate.
Went out today for slacker miles attempt on 80gi and the wind laughed right in my face for the first quarter lap so turned my wheel around to 74. The headwind was punishing but I must have made the most of the tailwind as I was only three minutes off my geared pb (1:02).
RP really is nice, such a shame about the all traffic and cyclist altercations that effect most people's enjoyment at off-peak hours.
