Yes, some people will move up but it's not the job of the Stockton event secretary to tell them, and furthermore nothing is contingent on a person's BBAR placing.

• #11303
Yeah, but I'm interested in the changes because I might move up the list. So would everyone else I presume.

there's a lot to be said for getting older and wiser ;)

You are interested by, but you do not have an interest in, the result of the Stockton 100

Knew I should've bought that S-Works lid. Totally would've ridden 600mi in the Nat 24.

Is the ideal Q-factor rider specific? Gains have been demonstrated below 140mm, but it's not clear if that was for one rider or an aggregate.
My guess is that ideally your legs should be in-line (ie ankles, knees & hips perpendicular to the horizontal), so it should be possible to measure your own Q-factor.

Yes, we call it SSQ or self selected Q Factor which you can measure using a special hanging task and some fancy 3D video equipment.
I built a set of sliding pedals to allow people to establish their own personal Q Factor and then this hanging task predicts what you end up with quite well. Unfortunately difficult to do without posh kit but something I've done for Pro Teams. Generally going for <142mm is a good idea for experienced riders.

Thanks!
I've have had a go at measuring my own Q, involving a pull-up bar and a tray of talc...

The True Answer is whatever you end up with when running the Shimano cranks that fit your bike.
Word.

Shimano cranks
As it goes, whereas the answer to "life, the universe and everything" is "42", it seems the best compromise of "length/Q/actuallyavailabletobuy" is "7600".
So you win.
Plz no gloat.

Organisers called it a null and void, as did CTT in line with the way the problem has been dealt with previously, Tops rejoiced, but said it was unfair that it wasn't just pro rata-ed (i.e. record would stand but Tops would win BBAR) many agreed including those who raced.
Much hand wringing, trolling and bitching followed about how measurement had taken place (modern GPS vs wheel rev counting) CTT people said meh, there was some talk of it being fully remeasured, more hand wringing, bitching and trolling followed and the thread was shut as it was getting a bit personal and wasn't actually going anywhere.

That kind of moderation would be the death of LFGSS :-)

Who snitched? :)
Do I move up the bbar list?

The event promoter dropped hints that it was a prominent racing cyclist from the South East. If I understood correctly Tops denied it was him but did say he knew who it was butt wouldn't say who. That said, that all happened somewhere in the first 15 pages or so, just before I gave up.

Confirmation that the course was remeasured as short.

If anyone else wants it then let me know.

Ta, yeah it's his.
I don't understand. If the Stockton event got you your qualifying 100 time for BBAR, wouldn't you then lose your BBAR position and so people who didn't race it might move up?
