  • sharp mudguard stays are really bloody easy to hurt yourself on

    It's true. Especially on tour

  • Ok here's a whinge: Why the F have sks introduced a white MG (raceblades and chromop) around 2009, only to stop supying them within a couple of years? White mg's rule! Hi viz innit!

  • Nobody tell me they now do 'cream'. Yuck.

  • You can get Bluemels with a reflective stripe down each side.

  • True.

But not white. I like the Elvisyness of white.

  • Vegas years, obv.

  • Nice one. As a noob mudguard fitter, what are you using the loctite for?

  • Happy with my SKS Longboard Road Mudguard ... but annoyed from the front end ruttling and not being in line with the fron tyre. I tried everything. Any suggestion?

  • so you dont have to over torque nuts and bolts where you don't have to ..

  • Bending the stay may help, but with plastic mudguard, not much you can do as they don't usually stay true.

  • I like the Elvisyness of white.

  • Does anyone know if the PDW guards can be fitted to mid-fork eyelets?

  • Cruds had their first outing today. Not as noisy as I feared and my ride buddy said they were ok.

  • Say what you want about SKS guards, the customer service is exemplary. Asked to buy a replacement arm that I bent installing raceblade XLs and they just sent out a complete new set, arrived from Germany in 5 days. God bless ze Germans

  • Yep- they can indeed. Needed to shorten the stay a little though. Fitted to my Arkose as below:

  • Awesome, thank you!

  • Agree entirely. SKS sent me a new hose/head for my Rennkompressor after I emailed them saying the head they used to supply with them was crap, totally free of charge.

  • Last year I seem to remember there was a sketch showing road spray and how effective mudguards of different lengths are... A friend just fitted an ass saver to his dedicated winter build and I want to highlight his stupidity.

Does anyone know where I can find it? My googling isn't working.

  • Just ask him how he keeps all the parts of him that aren't his crack dry.

  • Perfect... Thank you.

    Ass savers, off the chart.

  • I've tried the Ass Savers, the only highlight of it is that if you ride with a cut out, it reduced the amount of spray directing into your nether region with a slight resemblance to a plain looking vagina.

  • Ass Savers are good at their stated purpose. A friend also said they're useful in wet road races, where keeping your bibs dry confers a big comfort advantage over people without 'em.

  • where keeping your bibs dry.

    Which part?
