Thing is even though I won't need to lug the thing around very much I would really prefer a laptop instead of some setup that's fixed at my desk.Was considering a hackingtosh-laptop as well, apparently it's quite a bit harder to do compared to desktops (which seem to be fairly easy to set up nowadays provided you have compatible parts), have to investigate further / find a hack-able laptop with a proper matte screen...
Will not be lugging the thing around much, so that's not an issue.
Just realised how sought-after / pricey the 2012 15'' matte MBPs are, as they're the last of a kind..
(there's the 2011 ones as well, but they're weaker, and also suffer from the logic board failures which Apple are servicing until February next year only, so...)
