no checkering fade on matey boys super though, and too heavy handed with the spray gun - imho, later respray (of a genuine super) in homage to late 80's / early 90's sikfaydz era
I agree, the paint is very heavy, especially round the bottom bracket. Also the heavy chips there suggest a modern, maybe car paint finish. Not very convincing at all. The more I.look at it, the more I think 'modern repro'. It's a well done repro though, but not the real deal.
regarding respray dropouts
the esa buckler was a team respray, you can see the drop out slots were over painted, the only metal visible is from axle/skewer insertion
i struggle with think that a late 80's bike with og external tt guide would have been updated with internal routing and cowls
