Try turning off hardware acceleration: http://www.solveyourtech.com/turn-hardware-acceleration-google-chrome/
Might help, might do nothing

Does anyone have access to a Ford/Motorcraft parts catalogue? I have a part number that a lot of other American ford forums mention, but next to nothing mentioned in European/Australian forums...

Because that what someone called me that.
You should know, it's your favourite topic on the forum.

Was going to do that but realised I can't remember the characters I need to type in between dancing and james to retain my current user name.
dancing james
Have realised it's [ &_#_32; ] without the underscores but I can't put in @mdcc_tester 's suggestion, it generates an error

Is there a go to sim in the USA for data? Needed for 2 weeks in California. Fast, cheap, easy to buy?

if you were on three you wouldn't have to ask... http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Phones/Feel_At_Home

I'm not on three. Next.

Data Allowance? So it's not free on 3 anyway.
-
• #72088
Almost everyone on three has unlimited data allowance, so it is free.
You could probably get a three pay as you go sim and use a data topup and use that in the USA? -

Yes. Undo bolts, chainring falls off.
With the modern forum I have absolutely no idea what you are replying to.

Delivery time too slow. Pain in the arse. Back to original question:
Any USA sims I can walk into a shop and buy for cheap data?
-
• #72093
Try tripadvisor, probably more people who would know on there.
I was in Nevada last month and there were those little shops/stalls selling "mobile accessories" in all the usual shopping centers. I never asked about SIM cards - big mistake. Got stung for huge data charges. Also consider buying a phone over there? Pawn shops very popular.

You should estimate the total height of all loaded pictures and scroll back that amount of pixels, basic stuff really.

When I was in NYC two years ago I wandered into a shop that was our equivalent of Carphone Warehouse, and bought for $90 + $30 one month top up a sim free phone. Totally painless android thing. Gave it to a friend after the month, still cheaper than O2 roaming.
You must check your phone is set up for the type of radio bands (forget the correct word) that they use in the states. I'm not sure if all phones work everywhere, but they didn't before. Some of ours won't work with their sims, or so it used to be.

I'll have a look. Ta
"but what I have discovered works is buying the cheapest AT&T Gophone phone from Walmart (about $20), putting the sim into my android phone and activating it. It has worked every time. The cheap phone goes in the bin."

If only I'd taken my own advice and read that
I get even worse, totally garbled. But only when first starting up computer from sleep. Soon as screen is scrolled it fixes itself.
Its purely a chrome fault when run on Mac. No issues with other browsers.
