I had a Gipiemme wheel set once. The rear (almost new) hub split while doing a sprint on a perfectly smooth piece of asphalt. I'm not the strongest rider. I know several people who bought Gipiemme wheel sets and they all had serious issues with the weak hubs. Both my front and rear hubs were pretty much paperweights after about 400KM. No curb jumping, mad skidding or any other weird stuff they aren't made for but using it as a road bike.
I had a Gipiemme wheelset and they sucked balls, just one winter and the bearings were shot. My Miche Pistard hubs are holding up just fine after 4 years of year round commuting.

p.s. that Rodagira is awesome.
