UNAGI
Wat.

• #978
Yeah right

Unagi also means the state of mind of one who is truly at full state of awareness from all four dimensions who has completed the journey to enlightenment and handed a certificate from the Buddha himself.

and handed a certificate from the Buddha himself.
Buddha would definitely ride a brakeless fixeh.

@HHC one of those would be perfect! I will do some digging tomorrow.
Cheers! The paint looks best from like a 45degree angle, you can see all the colours the best.@hypercolour I could ride brakeless but I mainly have the brake there for emergencies. The main situations which scare me are dickhead drivers doing stupid things, and those steep downhills which end at traffic lights..
@Ayojay I'll give it a go with the tape tomorrow, don't worry! I will protect the paint, I've never built up a bike so carefully before haha

Can't sleep and I found it:

Only problem I see is that tyre clearance on the fork, they also sell an adapter which moves the wheel 3mm down to solve that though.
Can't tell if they ship to the uk

You won't crash. It's easier than you think.
i woudn't be so sure
-
• #984
Did you ride that into a wall?
-
• #985
That's not going to fit.
Oh wait...
they also sell an adapter

• #986
?

Can't tell if they ship to the uk
surly we have japanese assets on here?
-
• #988
Yeah, though the thought of spending that much puts me off, I'd have to get the adapter as well.
Fitted the brake with some tape under it and it seems to be alright, braking is fine too. Thinking more and more about going brakeless though..

I have similar on the girlfriend's bike, bear in mind you're extremely limited to certain tyres sizes that you might have to go as low as 20mm.
-
• #990
Where did you get it? Japan?
-
• #991
It was home made.
-
• #992
Ah I see, do you have a pic? Was it easy to do?
-
• #993
Eel up inside yer trying to find a way out.
-
• #994
It came with the bike but from the design it seem straightforward to make, will find a diagram tomorrow.
-
• #995

nice stable. Especially like the nag.
You will only achieve true UNAGI by removing your front brake.
