^ that's a prime example of the sillynes. That rat rod probably cost $60,000+ to build. But hey, I don't really care either. It's just another aesthetic and the best examples are usually ones that occur naturally and over time. Like old wooden tables or other furniture.
Intentionally sanding wear patches into you paint is a bit Diesel denim though
