  • No it won't!

@graunch you need a Shimano freehubs body.

  • Or just use a Campag cassette, if you are running 11 speed.

  • I am indeed runnng 11 speed. That make sense, I /thought/ that there was a way

  • Ha, I totally misread that. Sorry! Yeah, shimano+sram are compatible. Not campag.

    *hangs head

  • Is there a particular advantage to the more expensive dremels over the cheaper ones? Would I forever regret having 130W rather than 175W? Are the imitation dremels sincere and functional flattery or pale and best avoided?

  • Why are there several hundreds of high-vis policemen out around charing cross station?

The forecourt looks like a police rally. And their people-carriers are parked all across the pedestrian crossings so no one can see the road...

  • The Million Mask March will course through London on Wednesday November 5.

    It's the 4th today, isn't it?

  • Yes, I was confused earlier because I found an outdated link for last year's march, when the 5th fell on a Wednesday, so I thought it was tonight--see edited post.

  • Funny, they looked like they were gathered, waiting for something big. Didn't see any obvious protesters heading home or hanging around central, no banners/placards etc.

  • I have one that is Craftsman (NA) branded but is made by Dremel.
Mine is 138 watts (I think - watts are voltage x amps, yeah?) and I've cut much harder/bigger things than I should and it shows no sign of slowing down. It is at least 15 years old though and made in Usonia if that makes any difference.
I would stick to a respected brand and get a variable speed unit.

  • watts are voltage x amps, yeah?

...ish. With AC, that's only true if the voltage and current are perfectly in phase.

    Power = cos φ × voltage × current

Where φ is the phase angle between the voltage and the current.

  • ok, thanks

  • Best bb between Stronglight jp400 and shimano un55?

  • Is there a thread for alternative bars? North road, on one mungo, etc?

  • Cycling home last night, hit pothole when slightly out of saddle, sharp impact on perineum (probably seam of jeans...) didn't feel too bad at time but actually got woken up by pain this morning-feels horrible in the space from balls to asshole.

Should I just htfu and ride to work or is that only going to prolong the misery?

  • I'm afraid this means amputation, sooner the better.

  • I'd be grateful if they could just remove the feeling of having a huge rusty spike jammed in there. I farted and the subsequent physiological redponse felt like the recoil from a breem gun...

  • I'm afraid this means amputation, sooner the better.

    dibs!

  • You mean a Bren gun, don't you?

Best thing for your anatomy would probably be to give it a rest.

  • You mean lay off the wanking?

  • Best bb between Stronglight jp400 and shimano un55?

    UN55

  • any tips on a front derailleur that's as high as it can go, but still hitting the 53t ring?
braze on older steel bike w newer FD. It's 1989 ish so can't be designed for compact cranks?

  • felt like the recoil from a breem gun.

For a light machine gun firing a full size rifle cartridge, the one invented in Brno and made in Enfield actually has a very light recoil

  • I'm not sure if anyone does carbon forks with internal dynamo cabling, I think you'd have to go custom.

Couldn't you just use really strong black cloth tape up the back/inside of the fork leg, could be made to look quite neat. Or more pro might be some di2 wire covers either up the inside or back of the fork leg
