  • Is there a particular advantage to the more expensive dremels over the cheaper ones? Would I forever regret having 130W rather than 175W? Are the imitation dremels sincere and functional flattery or pale and best avoided?

  • I have one that is Craftsman (NA) branded but is made by Dremel.
Mine is 138 watts (I think - watts are voltage x amps, yeah?) and I've cut much harder/bigger things than I should and it shows no sign of slowing down. It is at least 15 years old though and made in Usonia if that makes any difference.
I would stick to a respected brand and get a variable speed unit.
