Yeah, I read that as well, it's not my experience. Of course, having said that my cleats are probably stealing my car right now.

Everyone on WW is too fat to use them.

Only after your car 'decided' to open the doors since it was avoiding the Kraken that had appeared in its parking spot.

I had to lower my saddle after dumping those bloody adaptors.

Take off the cover if you're gonna be a WW about it.

Take what you will.
Weighting pedals is a fruitless task?

Remove adaptor and cover.
I took some lightweight Bonts and just drilled them for speed plays. I still need the wedge part of the adaptor. But it's still 3 less bolts, as well as losing the main part of the adaptor.
A better comparison is Keywin pedals. They have the same adjustable free float, and minimal stack. But weigh fuck all. Tricky to clip into though.

Not much point removing the adapter though if you need it to use those pedals with the same shoes. The Kover on the other hand is not at all necessary for use.

Ritchey Echelon, cleats, screws = 161g £60 with £10 cleat costThey are not comparable pedals--- the interfaces are qute different. If it just about weight why not the Cirrus Ti--- only 125g(!) with complete hardware vs almost 100g more the Speedplay Nanogram 4-hole? But, of course, it is not just about weight. That is why the Speedplays are favorites around here despite their relatively high cost of ownership-- why are are also the favorite pedals to bitch about.
(Personally my favorite pedal was the hefty old Time EQs but, unfortunately, they are long out of production and consumables such as cleats are increasingly rare.) -

I've been too tempted by those TriRig pedals

My 500g pedals now seemed rather porky.

Anyone got a spare right zero cleat? Going away in the week and have rounded out one of the float bolts trying to dial it in.
-
• #644
Yeah, about 10 of them because the left keeps breaking. If I had a quid for every time I said 'fucking Speedplay shit' during yesterday's audax...

About time for a custom mid fit shoe so you know the place for the cleat to fit is completely flat?
-
• #646
I tried sorting that out years ago from the German guy that was producing them. He's useless. I gave up.
-
• #647
My shims arent putting my cleats absolutely perfectly flat. I fear that I too may develope an expensive cleat habit. Seems OK so far.

Shoes £30
Cleats £160 and counting
For everything else there's SPD-SL -

Does anyone have a spare left hand (foot?) Keep on Kover?
Mine is somewhere in Lower Woods biological and geological Site of Special Scientific Interest. I don't think I'd be able to find it.

I think the spares I have are both right. Let me check
word on the the street is the new walkable/aero cleats are awful and break according to WW's
