Raleigh Road Ace SS/Fixed Conversion - Advice Required.

I need a cheap & simple bike to use when I'm away with work and this Raleigh Road Ace frameset seems like an ideal candidate. I prefer the retro/classic look so I'd like to use mostly silver components. Budget is tight and I know nothing about fixed gear bikes so any advice is most welcome.

I've got brake calipers & levers, seatpost, saddle & headset.

I like the look of the cheap J & L chainsets on eBay and am thinking of using these wheels from Planet X; http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WBPXRROOH/planet-x-retro-track-wheelset

Bars will be Deda Piega with the centre polished and a Zenith stem.

Yeah I've seen those cranksets on eBay too and they do seem to be pretty bargainicious. It would be a question of how round they are, because some of those new steel ones listed as vintage aren't very round or true. I guess a machined set is probably more likely to be round though.

Those wheels are entry level hubs with budget rims. Sealed bearings. You wouldn't be able to build them for that price. For a retro looking set you don't need to care about in the winter salt etc, you can't really go wrong at that price.
