I'm fairly sure there aren't any 9 speed Shimano shifters with internal routing, I think the first 10 were speed. Also your mech will probably work with 10 speed if it is shimano.

Road rear derailleurs are cross-compatible (8/9/10) and also MTB up to 10-speed (those have different cable pull ratio).
Obviously, cassette has to be matched to the shifters.

Sweet - that's good to know.
I'd read in a couple of places that a 9sp mech wouldn't work on 10 sp cassette so good to hear contrary.
My back wheel is 8/9/10 compatible, otherwise I'd think about 11.In which case, I'm on the lookout for 2x10 shifters with internal routing plus a 10sp cassette!
Thanks all for your input.

I have a 12-28 10spd cassette if that would be of interest? SRAM 1070 I think, about 500km old.

GreatSince - looks like you've got the droids I'm looking for.Looking forward to receiving photos and what you want for them.
Black Preferred.
Would also consider 2x10 if rear cassette and mech also available.
Hook me up!
